Recently I went to a lovely event hosted by QVC. The event was held in a penthouse apartment in the Centre of London with different products in each room – crafts in the bedroom, cakes in the kitchen and beauty in the living room. I, of course, made a beeline to all the nail products and QVC have a great range including OPI, Nails Inc, Leighton Denny and Ciaté
You can get so many polish sets online they have a great range at special prices. You can also get nail care products for cheaper than in store. It is worth a browse.
Nails Inc regularly have demonstrations on the QVC channel and had a a table showing off their latest products to try out. I was quite excited about the new Concrete, Leather and feather look polishes that they had coming out so decided to try all the new polishes!
The leather and concrete looks do exactly what they say on the tin! The concrete is a little more gritty than the leather effect and they are both essentially a matte polish with bits in it! I really love the deep red colour of the leather polish and it’s a great statement look on your nails. The feather polishes contain long thin confetti strips in the polish to look ‘feathery’ on your nails (I don’t know how else to describe it!). They come out very thick and are rough without a top coat. I think they look better with a top coat and I can imagine the roughness would annoy me, but another unique look to try out.
Nails Inc are also bringing out kits with stick on elements like this ‘Bows and Crystals’ kit which looks like a fun way to easily create DIY nail art.
You can also see a glimpse of the nails I wore for the day before I took it off to try new polishes! I didn’t get a chance to properly photograph it and I’m sure I will recreate something similar soon:
Finally I have to show off the cakes on show in the kitchen as they were too amazing to leave out:
Everything was edible including these extremely real looking rings!!
